Brian Young is the President & Executive Director of Action Network. He has two decades of experience in digital politics, working on the Howard Dean campaign, leading John Kerry’s digital efforts in 2007-2011, and consulting with campaigns, advocacy organizations, and PACs in the US and around the world. He co-founded Action Network in 2011 and has led the Action Network team as it grew from a small startup to the toolset powering many of the largest campaigns and mobilizations of the last decade, from the Women’s March to Black Lives Matter protests to the DNC’s record-breaking small donor fundraising in the 2020 election. In 2019, he guided the organization in creating the innovative organizing platform Action Builder, the first toolset to truly marry modern technology with the time-tested tactics of union and community organizing.
